For more than 25 years, TJ has proudly called Okotoks and the Foothills region home, where she raised her three children and built lasting roots in the community. Prior to moving to Calgary in 1996, she grew up in small-town Saskatchewan before attending Queen’s and Western University (UWO), where she earned Bachelor degrees in Biology, Kinesiology, and Education.

Apart from real estate life, TJ loves spending time with family, all kinds of water sports, karaoke and volunteering in the community. Here are a few more fun facts about TJ:
As Mrs. Calgary 2013, TJ helped raise funds for Southern Alberta flood victims, earning recognition from the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and a “white hat” honor from the City of Calgary. She and her then ten-year-old daughter, Sarah, launched the Alberta Strong Doll campaign to comfort children who lost their toys, a story later featured on Darrel Janz’s Inspired Series.
TJ co-hosted a television show called Crowns of Construction that aired 13 episodes on CTV. She and her co-host, Mrs. Canada, Angie Shilliday, used their construction backgrounds to voluntarily renovate a women’s treatment centre for additions in Marda Loop of Calgary.
As an ACTRA actress, TJ has also been on television shows like Hell on Wheels and Heartland, and hosted a live game show on CMT (Country Music Television) called Call2Win.
TJ’s family has 2 cats and 2 dogs. One of them is a Great Dane named Mister who has his own Instagram account at @MisterOkotoks that you may enjoy a laugh or two from :)
